We Run for Tibet :
A Journey of Strength & Solidarity
From March 8 to 10, 2025, We Run For Tibet united hundreds of supporters across Switzerland, including national politicians, and reached over 700,000 people through traditional and digital media. Despite falling short of Dominik Kelsang Erne’s personal sports goal to finish the 385km Run due to health issues, the event had a profound impact. The event united communities and raised awareness for Tibet in an inspiring way.
From 5 to 7 September, Dominik made a new attempt — quietly, without telling more than a handful of people — driven by the Tibetan “never give up” spirit. He completed a solo Silent Run from St. Gallen to Geneva in under 59 hours, setting a new world record and offering a deeply personal act of solidarity
Run for Tibet - Across the World
Led by Dominik Kelsang Erne, a five-time Swiss ultramarathon champion with Tibetan roots, the We Run for Tibet event united hundreds of people carrying the Tibetan and Swiss flags as symbols of unity, freedom, and strength.
Organized in collaboration with the Swiss-Tibetan Friendship Association (GSTF), this event represents endurance, resilience, and the ongoing struggle for justice. Dominik Kelsang was joined by runners and supporters along the route. Every kilometer contributed to a powerful message of peaceful action and solidarity for Tibet.
Running for Passion, Joy, and Freedom
“For me, running stands for passion, joy, and freedom. I love running, and I love Tibet. As a Swiss with Tibetan roots, I wanted to do something that combines both, with the goal of supporting our Tibetan cause. I hope that as many people as possible will participate in the We Run for Tibet event to show their solidarity with the Tibetan people.”
